In response to the state income tax deduction limitation imposed by the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017, for tax years beginning in 2018 and thereafter, Connecticut enacted a new 6.99% income tax on pass-through entities (such as S corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies). This webinar will provide an overview of the new tax and how it will affect the entity and its owners.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Connecticut's response to the TCJA of 2017
  • Elective Methods to calculate the taxable income base
  • How owners can obtain a Connecticut Tax Credit for the taxes paid by the entity
  • Estimated tax payment requirements and "recharacterization"
  • Financial statement impact

This webinar is recommended for pass-through entity owners and those responsible for a pass-through entity's taxes and want a basic understanding of how this tax will be imposed and implemented.
